La exposición Momentos en la ciudad abarca cuarenta fotografías que buscan trasladar al visitante a los diversos lugares que en tantas ocasiones pasan desapercibidos a quienes transitan por la ciudad de Valladolid.
Esta muestra retrata una ciudad salpicada de lugares sugerentes e instantes fascinantes, narrados en imágenes a través de la mirada particular de aquellas personas que comparten su entusiasmo por la fotografía dentro de la Asociación Fotográfica Vallisoletana.
La AFV es una de las más antiguas de España y, sin ninguna duda, la más longeva de Castilla y León. Fue fundada en el año 1952, siendo su primer presidente el Doctor D. Nemesio Montero Pérez. Alcanzó su máximo esplendor entre los años 1963 y 1991, durante los que se realizaron numerosos concursos nacionales e internacionales, como los Salones Internacionales de Fotografía Hispano-Francés e Hispano-Luso; el Gran Premio “Tremiño”, con mucha repercusión a nivel nacional y los Salones Nacionales de Fotografía “Ciudad de Valladolid”. La Asociación sigue activa en la actualidad, trabajando firmemente por la difusión de la fotografía y habiéndose convertido, en estos 71 años, en un referente en nuestra ciudad.
Moments in the city
The exhibition Moments in the city includes forty photographs that seek to transport the visitor to the various places that so often go unnoticed by those who pass through the city of Valladolid. This exhibition portrays a city dotted with suggestive places and fascinating moments, narrated in images through the particular gaze of those who share their enthusiasm for photography within the Asociación Fotográfica Vallisoletana. The AFV is one of the oldest in Spain and, without any doubt, the longest-lived in Castilla y León.
It was founded in 1952, and its first president was Dr. Nemesio Montero Pérez. It reached its maximum splendor between 1963 and 1991, during which time numerous national and international competitions were held, such as the Hispano-French and Hispano-Luso International Photography Salons; the Tremiño Grand Prix, with great national repercussion, and the City of Valladolid National Photography Salons. The Association is still active today, working firmly for the dissemination of photography and having become, in these 71 years, a reference in our city.
